Nicole Giwa, BCBA, LBA
Nicole Giwa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the state of Connecticut. During her time as a Behavior Therapist, Nicole found her love for ABA and had the pleasure of working with a variety of intellectual disorders. She had moved forward to obtain her BCBA where she moved from public schools to the private setting. In the private setting, Nicole had obtained experience with high level behaviors, staff training, program development, leisure skills, and generalization.
Among many other abilities, Nicole was able to bring this back to the public school setting while supporting the district in the best way possible. Nicole’s experience includes working with individuals with a variety of intellectual disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Developmental Delays, and ADHD. Nicole also has experience with visually impaired children. She has also worked in a variety of different settings including in-home, self-contained classrooms, resource rooms in the public schools, general education classrooms, and one on one settings. she provided services to students ranging from pre-school to high school age.
Nicole has her Master of Science degree in Human Services with a concentration in Clinical Counseling from Post University. She also has her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University and attended classes at University of Denver for Applied Behavior Analysis.
